I spotted that the Muji restaurant in Helsinki is now serving black sesame ice cream and I knew I had to try it. If you haven’t tasted black sesame ice cream, you need to! It has a delicious nutty flavour that is simply delicious. Best of all, this recipe only has 4 ingredients and doesn’t require an ice cream machine.
On a side note, I am obsessed with Oatly’s whippable creamy oat, it whips really thick and worked perfectly in this recipe.
Black sesame ice cream
6 tbsp black sesame seeds
1 can condensed coconut milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
5 dl vegan whipping cream

Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan. Then add to a blender and pulse into a paste.
Add the coconut milk and vanilla and blend
Meanwhile whisk the cream until nice and thick
Pour in the sesame paste into the cream and stir lightly to create a marble effect
Spoon into your desired dish and freeze until set.
