Suklaahummus
When I mentioned at work I was going to be making chocolate hummus I got a few bemused reactions, however don’t be scared off, chocolate hummus is surprisingly good. Some how the mixture of chickpeas and raw cacao gives the hummus a slightly salty sweet, but rich, chocolatey flavour. It is the perfect healthier snack, with a slightly sinful flavour. I usually serve mine with sliced fruit and pretzels.
So why not give chocolate hummus a chance, go on you just might like it!

Chocolate Hummus
400 g tin of chickpeas, drained but reserve a little of the water
3 – 4 tbsp maple syrup or other sweetener
4 tbsp raw cacao
3 tbsp nut butter, peanut, almond and hazelnut work well
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
Simply add all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth.
If too thick, add a little of the chickpea water and adjust the sweetness to your liking
